LEXINGTON — Ismay Leonard Berrier, 86, of Comanche Trail in Lexington, died Thursday, Jan. 3, 2008, at her home.
Funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday at First Baptist Church with Dr. Ray Howell III and the Rev. Tommy Wilson officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. on Sunday in the Church Parlor, prior to the service.
Davidson Funeral Home in Lexington is in charge of arrangements.

Nan (Farrington) Chritton
JACKSONVILLE, FLA. — Nan (Farrington) Chritton, 78, passed away Jan. 3, 2008, in Jacksonville, Fla. after a brief illness.
Born to Mary Bailey and Dr. R.K. Farrington in 1929 in Thomasville, N.C., she received her college degree from Duke University in 1950. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest F. Chritton Jr. and is survived by her brothers, Dr. John Farrington (High Point, N.C.) and Robert Farrington (Port St. John, Fla.); her children, Michael (Romaine) of Akron, Ohio, Ernest III (Vickie) of Merritt Island, Fla., Kirby (Valerie) of Jacksonville, Laura Chritton Glenn of Honolulu and Susan Chritton Seagraves (Wade) of Jacksonville; and nine grandchildren.
She was active in the Mandarin Garden Club, Gamma Phi Beta sorority and the Jacksonville Parkinson Support Group. She lived many years in Knoxville, Tenn., where she was an outspoken civil rights advocate and member of the League of Women Voters and the Knoxville Area Urban League. She was a candidate for the Tennessee legislature in 1978. She was one of the first female members of the UT Quarterback Club and long-time supporter of UT women’s basketball. She served on the Altar Guild at St. John’s Cathedral, Church of the Ascension and Church of the Good Samaritan, all in Knoxville.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 9, at Church of Our Savior on Mandarin Road in Jacksonville, Fla. Arrangements by Arlington Park Funeral Home. Memorial gifts may be made to the Parkinson Association or the Mayo Clinic, Jacksonville.

Elaine Welborn Edgar
RALEIGH, N.C. — Elaine Welborn, 83, of 11700 Arnold Palmer Drive, Apt. 205, died Thursday, Jan. 3, 2008. Mrs. Edgar was born March 2, 1924, in High Point, to the late Willis Lafayette Welborn and Elsie Jewel Hoskins Welborn.
Surviving are one daughter JoAnne Schmidt and husband, John T. Schmidt Jr. of Zebulon; son, Thomas W. Trepiccione and wife, Audrey Anne Trepiccione of Garner; grandchildren, Alasdair T. Trepiccione, Abigail S. Trepiccione, Andrea S. Trepiccione, Magdalene J. Trepiccione, Mariah J. Trepiccione, Reuben T. Trepiccione, Susanna R. Trepiccione, Dylan W. Trepiccione and Judaea R. Trepiccione; and great-grandchildren: Hunter Thomas Siddons, John Robert Siddons, Michael Bennet Siddons, Symphony A. Schmidt and Robert Zachary Stocker.
Funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service Chapel, 944 Old Knight Road, Knightdale, N.C. 27545. The family will receive relatives and friends immediately following the service.
Graveside service will be held at noon on Monday, Jan. 7, 2008, at Oakwood Municipal Cemetery, 512 Steele St., High Point, N.C. 27262.

DENTON — Louise Davis Faulkner, 78, of Cap Ingram Road in Lexington, died Friday, Jan. 4, 2008, at Lexington Memorial Hospital. Born Jan. 27, 1929, in Davidson County, she was a homemaker.

LEXINGTON — Norma Sowers McLain, 80, of Brian Center of Lexington, formerly of Conrad Sowers Road in Lexington, died Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2008, in the Brian Center. Born Jan. 14, 1927, in Davidson County, she was a retired certified nursing assistant.

DENTON — Mosell Wall, 87, of Mountain Vista Health Park and formerly of Shiptontown Road, died Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2008, at Mountain Vista Health Park. Born April 30, 1920, in Davidson County, he was a retired machine operator with Thermo and he was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

David Williams
David Samuel Williams, 65, of 174 Tom Hedrick Road in Thomasville, died Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2008, at Forsyth Medical Center. Born Dec. 7, 1942, in Davidson County, he made his home in this area for his entire life and he retired from the Thomasville Fire Department Station #2 where he served until 1982.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday in the Chapel of J.C. Green and Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. James Shetley officiating. Burial will follow in Thomasville City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
