LEXINGTON — Frankie Etta Lail Cook, 79, died Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2008, in Hospice Home of High Point after an illness of six weeks. Born Sept. 6, 1928, in Catawba County, she was a homemaker.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday at Davidson Funeral Home Hickory Tree Chapel with the Rev. Larry Michael, Dr. Wade Laughter and the Rev. Dan Walser officiating. Burial will follow in Forest HIll Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday at Davidson Funeral Home Hickory Tree Chapel and at other times at the home of the daughter, 382 Latham Drive, Lexington.

ASHEBORO — Roy Gilbert Hill, 63, of 7046 U.S. Hwy. 64 West in Asheboro, died Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2008. A native of Randolph County, he was the owner of Riverside Upholstery and he also worked part-time at Walmart in Asheboro.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday at Bethel Baptist Church in Asheboro with the Rev. Jody Harrison and the Rev. Claudie Harrison officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. LEXINGTON — Wilbrun Leslie Jones Sr., 85, of West Fifth Street in Lexington, died Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2008, at Carolina Medical Center in Charlotte, N.C.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Carl Lindquist and Dr. Ray Howell III officiating. Burial will follow at Lexington City Cemetery with military rites. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Davidson Funeral Home.
