LEXINGTON ­— Foy Marston Farabee, 88, of Sink Farm Road, died Saturday, April 12, 2008, at Lexington Memorial Hospital after an illness of two weeks.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. today at Psalm 91 Church with the Rev. Max Shoaf officiating. Burial will follow in Bethel Cemetery with Masonic rites performed by Lexington Masonic Lodge 473.
The family will receive friends at the home of the daughter on Sink Farm Road.

Eddie Gibson
THOMASVILLE — Eddie Gibson, 64, died Sunday, April 13, 2008, at Hospice of the Piedmont.
Memorial service will be held today at 3 p.m. at Fairview United Methodist Church with Pastor Robert Wiseman officiating.

Marvin Harrison
DENTON — Marvin Gray Harrison, 77, of Old Highway 64 East in Lexington, died Monday, April 7, 2008, at Britthaven of Davidson.
Mr. Harrison was born on May 13, 1930, in Davidson County to Mose and Betty Cody Harrison. He was a charter member of Silver Valley Baptist Church and was the owner and operator of Harrison Used Cars.
Funeral service was held at 4 p.m. Thursday at Silver Valley Baptist Church with the Rev. Gene Little officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

Avery Cooper Hedrick
LEXINGTON — Avery Marie Cooper Hedrick, 84, of Centerclair Nursing Center, and formerly of Beck’s Nursery Road in Lexington, died Friday, April 11, 2008, at the nursing facility after declining health of several years.
Mrs. Hedrick was born on March 3, 1924, in Davidson County to Russell Cooper and Martha Tesh Cooper. She was a homemaker and member of Memorial United Church of Christ.
Funeral service was held at 4 p.m. Sunday at Memorial United Church of Christ with the Rev. Don Leonard officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at their respective homes.

Helen Jones
THOMASVILLE — Helen Kennedy Jones, 80, went home to be with her Lord on April 12, 2008.
She was born on Jan. 24, 1928, a daughter of R. Wilson Kennedy and Claudia Myers Kennedy. Mrs. Jones was a lifelong resident of Davidson County. She was a faithful member of the Thomasville Church of God and worked as a teacher in Church School children’s classes, grades third through fifth, for almost 50 years. She was a member of the Ladies Ministry and Adult Choir. She was also a member of the Thomasville Camp of Gideon International Ladies Auxiliary, where she served several terms as President, Vice-President and Chaplain. She was also a dedicated servant of the Jail Ministry with Ladies Auxiliary of Gideons International and a faithful scripture distributor in the Gideon ministry.
She was retired after many years in the textile industry.
Mrs. Jones is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Mr. James C. Jones; son, Mike Jones of Thomasville, daughter, Linda White and husband, Jack, of Charlotte; grandchildren, James White, Charlotte White, Elizabeth Kissah and husband, Michael, and their daughters Taylor and Haley Kissah, all of Charlotte; brother, Kenneth R. Kennedy and wife, Lee; and many nieces and nephews. She will also be missed by her special friends Grant and Callie Utz. She was preceded in death by a sister, Ruby Shore, and brothers, Raymond and Brown Kennedy.
Funeral service will be held today at 2 p.m. at Thomasville Church of God with the Reverends Ken Barnett, Rodney Merrill and Avon Craven officiating. Burial will follow in Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery.

Tommy “Squeaky” Miller
TRINITY — Mr. Jefferson Thomas “Tommy” “Squeaky” Miller, 53, a resident of 8713 Hillsville Road, died Thursday, April 10, 2008, at his home.
He was born on Oct. 10, 1954 in Watauga County to Jefferson Davis “J.D.” Miller and Carolyn Culler Miller. He was preceded in death by a brother, Mike Miller, and a sister, Jan Miller.
Surviving, in addition to his parents of Sophia, are his daughters, Danielle Jeanette Miller and April Joy Miller, both of Ocoee, Fla.; grandchildren, Kylie Roweoo and Zachary Miles; brother, Mark Miller and his wife, Penny, of Archdale; sister-in-law, Sue Miller of Thomasville; nieces, Chynna Miller of Thomasville, Ashley Hill of Archdale and Jamie Gardner of Yadkinville. and a nephew, Brian Daniels of Sophia.
Memorial service will be held Thursday, April 17 at 7 p.m. at Crossover Community Church of Hillsdale, located at 4918 Old Malboro Church Road, with the Rev. Jimmy Kiker and Dr. Steven O’ Shields officiating.

Mrs. Smith was born on Feb. 3, 1922, in Davidson County to Branson Irving Lanier and Minnie Estella Harrison Lanier. She was a homemaker and member of Chapel Hill United Methodist Church.
Funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Monday at Chapel Hill United Methodist Church with the Rev. Chris Smith and the Rev. Derald Smith officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
