TRINITY — Ms. Regina McPherson Beard, 45, died at Tuesday, June 24, 2008, at High Point Regional Hospital.
She was born on June 15, 1963, in Guilford County, a daughter of Charles and Leslie Yokley McPherson. She had worked at Prelude and was a member of East Davidson First Baptist Church.
Funeral service will be held on Friday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service in Archdale with the Rev. Roger Williams officiating. Burial will follow in the Floral Garden Park Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at 1 p.m. Friday at Cumby Family Funeral Service in Archdale and other times at the home of her mother, Leslie Eaton.

Irene Essick Black
LEXINGTON — Irene Essick Black, 95, of Black Sawmill Road, died Tuesday, June 24, 2008, at her home.
She was born on June 8, 1913 in Lexington to Avery and Valda Motsinger Essick. She was a retired seamstress and worked in her younger years at Fred O. Sink Printing. Her greatest loves in life were her husband, her family and her church.
A celebration of her life will be held today at 11 a.m. at Pilgrim Reformed Church, where she was a member, with the Rev. Barry Surratt officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends and family at her sons’ homes.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Morning Glory Scholarship Fund at Pilgrim Reformed Church, 797 Pilgrim Church Road, Lexington, N.C. 27295 or to Hospice of Davidson County, P.O. Box 1941, Lexington, N.C. 27293.

Vivian Coulson
TRINITY — Mrs. Vivian Atkins Coulson, 91, formerly a resident of Welborn Road, died on Tuesday, June 24, 2008, at Pennybyrn at Maryfield.
She was born on Nov. 23, 1916, in Danville, Va. to Houston and Mary Belle Johnson Atkins. She made this area her home since 1968 when she moved from Florida. She was a retired real estate broker and was of the United Methodist faith.
Graveside service will be held on Friday at 3 p.m. at Highland Burial Park in Danville, Va. with the Rev. Donnie B. Durham officiating.
The family will receive friends on Friday at 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at J.C. Green & Sons Funeral Home.

Sarah Craver
LEXINGTON — Mrs. Sarah Frances Craver, 82, formerly of 305 Carter Grove Road, died Wedneday, June 25, 2008, in Sunbridge Care and Rehabilitation Center.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. in St. John A.M.E. Zion Church in Thomasville and burial will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park in Lexington.
The family will receive friends Saturday at the church 30 minutes before the funeral service and public visitation will be Friday from 12 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
S.E. Thomas Funeral Service in Thomasville is in charge of arrangements.

Victoria R. Fritts
LEXINGTON— Victoria Rose Fritts, 88, of Odell Owen Road, died Wednesday, June 25, 2008, at her home.
She was born in Chester, Pa. on Oct. 22, 1919, to Victor Oldakowski and Rosalia Bukova Oldakowski. She was a retired employee of Lexington Memorial Hospital, former employee of Bullock Hosiery Mill and a member of First Baptist Church of Lexington.
Graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. Friday at Forest Hill Memorial Park with Dr. Ray Howell III officiating. Burial will follow.
There will be no formal visitation.
Arrangements by Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Salvation Army, Davidson County Unit, P.O. Box 770, Lexington, N.C. 27293.
